These durable vehicles refuelled RAF and Army Air Corps helicopters and Harriers, especially in tactical, off-airfield conditions. This 36-piece plastic kit allows you to recreate this Cold War era military vehicle on your workbench.   Key Features 1:76 scale model of the Bedford MK FV 4x4 aircraft refueller 36 plastic pieces for engaging assembly 3 authentic paint schemes included Skill level 1 - ideal for beginners and younger modellers aged 8+ Represents a vital Cold War era support vehicle History The Bedford MK was introduced to the British Army in the early 1970s as part of a new line of military transport vehicles. Built on a sturdy 4x4 chassis, the MK FV model was crafted to deliver excellent mobility over difficult terrain, making it perfect for tactical missions away from established bases. The General Service Truck setup was highly adaptable, with the core platform modified for various specialised tasks throughout its operational life. The aircraft refueller version became especially significant for supporting fast jet and rotary-wing operations in field conditions. Designed to service both RAF Harrier jump jets and Army Air Corps helicopters, these vehicles allowed aviation units to function from scattered, temporary sites - a vital capability during the Cold War era when tactical adaptability was essential. The capacity to quickly refuel aircraft away from vulnerable airfield infrastructure provided British forces with substantial operational benefits. The Bedford MK's blend of off-road capability, reliability, and versatility ensured its presence in frontline service for many years, becoming a common sight wherever British military aviation was active. From training exercises on Salisbury Plain to worldwide deployments, these indispensable support vehicles kept combat aircraft operational when it was most critical.

British 105mm Light Field Gun (1:76)

British 105mm Light Field Gun A light, yet robust modern field gun, this impressive weapon was flexible enough for troops fighting in the most inhospitable of terrain and could be towed by Army Land Rovers, or carried as an underslung load beneath the larger British helicopter types.  In service with the British Army from 1976, this new weapon was designed to possess greater range and lethality than its predecessor, whilst retaining the portability of that unit, however, this did make it a heavy gun.  Produced in large numbers, these guns were exported widely and served with distinction during the Falklands War. - Plastic Kit Requires Glue & Paint to Complete - 52 Pieces - 2 Scheme Options - Skill Level 1 - 1:76 Scale

Vickers Mk.VI Light Tank (1:76)

Vickers Mk.VI Light Tank  One of the first mass-produced British tanks of the 1930s, the Vickers Light Tank was essentially an armoured reconnaissance vehicle. It was manufactured to an extremely high standard, with two Vickers machine guns mounted in its turret, although they couldn’t be fired at the same time.  Used extensively by the BEF in France and in the Western Desert at the start of the Second World War, these reliable little tanks were no match for the firepower of the latest German and Italian guns. However, you can now build your own Vickers LIght Tank vehicle with this 1:76 model kit.

Vintage Classics: German E-Boat (1:72)

German E-Boat Restricted by the terms of the Treaty of Versailles, the German Kriegsmarine exploited a loophole by designing a fleet of fast, wooden-hulled attack craft they referred to as Schnellboots. Expertly designed, these vessels were perfected over time and by the outbreak of the Second World War, they had become a devastatingly effective part of Germany’s naval strength. Powered by three diesel engines and featuring a triple rudder arrangement, Germany’s E Boats were some of the fastest warships in the world. With their low profile, high manoeuvrability and torpedo armament, if they penetrated any Allied convoy, they could destroy several vessels and make their escape before coming under return fire. - Plastic Kit Requires Glue & Paint to Complete - 290 Pieces - 1 Scheme Options - Skill Level 3 - 1:72 Scale

Vintage Classics: RAF Rescue Launch (1:72)

RAF Rescue Launch During the Second World War, the danger of losing large numbers of aircrew forced to ditch in the seas around the British Isles was very real, resulting in the creation of the Royal Air Force Sea Rescue Service, operating under the motto ‘The sea shall not have them’. Using vessels designed by the British Powerboat Company and utilising racing boat technology, this service was all about speed, with the Type Two 63ft HSL ‘Whaleback’ being arguably their most distinctive craft. Powered by three 24ltr Napier Sea Lion engines, these boats must have sounded magnificent and it’s no wonder they were known as the ‘Spitfires of the sea’. - Plastic Kit Requires Glue & Paint to Complete - 155 Pieces - 2 Scheme Options - Skill Level 3 - 1:72 Scale
