Thomas the Tank Range Sir Handel (OO-9)

Sir Handel Sir Handel is a narrow gauge saddle tank engine who originally worked on the Mid Sodor Railway. He now works on the Skarloey Railway and became its third engine. Bachmann carefully reproduces your favorite Thomas & Friends™ characters in miniature, and these narrow gauge products are made to the same scale as British OO9 models, meaning they can run on both OO9 and N gauge track. Peco OO-9 L&B Bogie Open Wagon, L&B Livery

OO-9 L&B Bogie Open Wagon L & B Livery Wagon 22 was an open bogie vehicle of 8 ton capacity, built at the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway's workshop at Pilton in 1903 to complement the existing fleet, which included a number of similar vehicles built by Bristol Wagon and Carriage Works. The LandBR had no regular freight workings, and goods vehicles were added to passenger trains as required. They were all fitted with vacuum brakes to allow them to be marshalled between the loco and coaches, and negate the need for a separate goods brakevan. Freight moved on the L&BR included coal, ballast, farm machinery, hay and even manure! From new all freight vehicles were painted light grey with black ironwork. Under Southern Railway ownership the wagons were repainted standard SR brown, and number 22 became SR number 28313. Our model faithfully represents this particular vehicle, with careful attention being paid to details in the livery, plus separately-fitted brake levers and vacuum brake pipes. As with all of our previous models in this scale, they are free running and complete with couplings, which plug into the integral NEM pocket. - OO-9 scale

Bachmann Baguley-Drewry 70hp Diesel ICI Orange & Grey

Baguley-Drewry 70hp Diesel ICI Orange & Grey The diminutive Baguley-Drewry marks Bachmann’s first foray into the world of narrow gauge diesels for the Bachmann Narrow Gauge OO9 scale range. These 70 horsepower machines were originally built for use at Royal Naval Armament Depots (RNAD) which employed narrow gauge networks to move armaments between storage locations and transhipment sites. The perfect complement to the Bachmann Narrow Gauge RNAD Wagons, these diesel locomotives pack a lot into a small space with a high proportion of diecast parts to provide the 4-wheel locomotives with a running performance befitting the prototype. Several details are fitted separately, including the air filter mounted on top of the bonnet, headlights (non-functional) at the front and rear of the cab, windscreen wipers and, inside the cab, chairs and controls are modelled too. The coreless motor, which is fitted with a flywheel, provides drive to both axles – each of which run in separate metal bearings. Electrical pick-up comes from all wheels whilst the couplings are mounted into NEM coupling pockets – these can be removed and the bufferbeams swapped out for fully detailed alternatives that do not feature the cut-outs required for the OO9 coupling. All of this detail is brought to live by the livery application which uses authentic colours, logos and typefaces to portray a locomotive in use with industrial giant ICI. The maker’s name is carried on the front of the locomotive whist the window frames are picked out in silver and the cab interior is decorated, but the icing on the cake for this model is the ‘wasp stripes’ at either which really bring it to life.
