The Yamaha RZV500R was announced at the Tokyo Motor Show 1983 with specs that basically made it equivalent to the road racer YZR500. Inheriting its lightweight, compact design from the YZR, the RZV featured a 500cc 2-stroke water-cooled V4 engine capable of 64hp and 230km/h top speed, which provided performance on the level of a litre-class motorcycle. The RZV500R opened up a new era of 2-stroke sports bikes and was invested with Yamaha’s significant know-how of both 2-stroke engines and racing. Honda CB1000F (1:12) Description: Tamiya is proud to announce the release of the Honda CB1000F as a new addition to our 1/12 Motorcycle Series. Honda’s CB series of road sport bikes has a long and proud history of innovation; it started with the 1959 Benly CB92 Super Sports and includes machines such as the genre-defining 1969 CB750 FOUR and its inline four engine, the DOHC 4-valve engine CB750F/900F developed for the European market, and the race-focused 1981 CB1100R. Fast forward to March 2025 and Honda announced that its existing flagship CB1300SF would be passing on the torch to the CB1000F Concept. Shortly after, in November of that year it went on sale as the CB1000F. The CB1000F’s “Best Balance Roadster” design concept demanded that it be at home in a variety of scenes from everyday use to touring.  It inherits and updates the iconic “Flowing Line” styling popularised on its CB750F/900F predecessors, the shape flowing smoothly from the tank right back to the rear cowl, via the side covers to give the bike its powerful and speedy silhouette. The round LED headlight catches the eye with its modern yet traditional design encircled by a ring-shaped light and featuring a plated rim and central section inscribed with the HONDA logo. At the rear, the seat’s surface pattern is inspired by the CB750F, and the eye is drawn to design cues like the large taillight and the muffler that dominates the right side of the bike. M561 Gama Goat  At Home Off of the Beaten Track Originally commissioned in 1966 as an off-road, amphibious vehicle, the M561 Gama Goat was a 6-wheel drive truck consisting of a 4-wheel tractor and a 2-wheel carrier module. What really set it apart from other vehicles of its type, however, was its employment of an articulation joint between the two modules that allowed them to move independently of one another: a most useful skill when traversing rough terrain. The 14,000 Gama Goats produced up to 1973 were used in a variety of roles by both the U.S. Army and Marine Corps, and were deployed in the fighting in Grenada in 1983, although by the start of the 1990s the Gama Goat had been largely phased out. The former half of its unusual nickname came from Roger Gamaunt, designer of the key articulation joint, and the latter half from its tenacious goat-like climbing ability. With this in mind, many kinds of anti-aircraft weapons were developed to fight against enemy aircraft attacks, which led to fierce battles seen at every front. One such anti-aircraft machine seen during WWII was the M16 self propelled gun which was manufactured from 1942 to 1943. Fitted on the M3 half-track chassis was the quad mounted 50-caliber (12.7mm) Browning automatic heavy machine gun, which had an 893m/s muzzle velocity, 6,767m range, and a discharging rate of 450-555 rounds per minute, which earned it the nickname of "the meat chopper." The Type M45 gun mount could rotate 360 degrees and elevate between -10 and +90 degrees and was electrically driven which allowed it to move 60 degrees of rotation/elevation per second. Not only was it greatly effective against enemy aircraft, it was also very influential on the ground attack. Even after WWII, the M16 was also deployed with the Japanese Ground Self Defense Forces during the Korean War.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R (1:12) Kawasaki's legacy of cutting-edge sportbikes has inspired motorcycle fans for generations. Recently, the call for 300km/h plus super sports bikes has motivated several manufactures to bring out powerful contenders. Kawasaki answered the call at the 1999 Paris Motorcycle Show, with the impressive debut of their all-new Ninja ZX-12R. This Ninja was reportedly created in the image of a fighter plane, which comes as no surprise considering that its slippery aerodynamics involved the cooperation of the Aerospace Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. In fact, the ZX-12R spent more time in the wind tunnel during its development phase than any motorcycle in Kawasaki's history. The results are evident: small winglets on the sides of the fairing separate airflow around the bike; small wind deflectors on the lower forks deflect turbulent air from the engine; a long lip on the edge of the fairing further smooths out airflow. Also, projecting just ahead of the front fairing, a large scoop takes advantage of higher air pressure, heightening intake efficiency. A monocoque frame backbone creates an airbox that allows air to pass through the inside of the bike for cooling in addition to ensuring overall rigidity. The powerplant of the Ninja ZX-12R is a fuel injected 4-cylinder 1,199cc engine that pumps out an abundant 178hp. Its four-into-two-into-one exhaust system features a titanium muffler paired with a catalyzer, which helps eliminate unburned hydrocarbons for cleaner emissions. Kawasaki brilliantly raised the superbike standard in performance, power and aerodynamics with their series flagship, the Ninja ZX-12R. She was then damaged by at least one torpedo from attacking Swordfish, slowing her down. She was eventually sunk by torpedoes fired from Royal Naval ships with the loss of almost 1,900 crew. Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf N (1:35) During the middles stages of WWII, most German military vehicles had trouble providing adequate support to troops, therefore the N type tank was built to help solve this problem. The N type tank replaced its Marder III main battery with a 7.5cm gun which could fire high-performance high-explosive bursting projectile shells. From June 1942 through to August 1943, existing J, L, & M models also received these upgrades and 663 tanks were fitted, and another 37 were also upgraded later in 1944. In the summer of 1942 these tanks appeared on the battlefield with their highly explosive shells, and they proved to be highly efficient in their role of reinforcing the ground troops. They were deployed into newly organized heavy tank battalions, to make up for the lack of Tiger I tanks. M4A3 Sherman w 105mm Howitzer  Excelling in both reliability and sheer production capability, the M4 Sherman series of tanks became the staple fighting-vehicles of the WWII Allies. The first version to be produced, the cast-hull M4A1, was succeeded by the welded-hull M4, the diesel engine M4A2, and finally the most widely-known tank of the series, the M4A3. Three types of main armament were used on the M4A3: on the initial production types, the 75mm main gun and on the subsequent types, the 76mm main gun for heightened penetration. Finally, to provide heavy fire support for assaults on enemy outposts, the powerful 105mm howitzer was later adopted. The 105mm howitzer was carried in a M52 combination mount and a vision cupola was fitted for the commander with a small hatch for the loader. It could fire M1 shells at angles from -10 to +35 degrees at a maximum range of 11,500m. About 500 of the M4A3 (105mm) were produced at the Chrysler factory in Detroit from May to September 1944. From September 1944 horizontal volute spring suspension was introduced on the M4A3 (105mm) together with the wider center-guide T66 tracks. The M4A3 (105mm) were deployed to European Theatre from July 1944, and played an indispensable role in the destruction of enemy positions by the U.S. infantry fighting on the front lines.
