As the standard BR general-purpose diesel shunter, the type became a common sight at major stations and freight yards across the country.  The locomotive this example is based on started life as 13326 in November 1956, having been completed at Darlington, and was new to New England, Peterborough. It later served at Sheffield Darnall, Tinsley, Finsbury Park, Hitchin, Startford and finally, from May 1968 at Colchester, from where it was withdrawn in February 1984. It was cut-up at Doncaster Works by January the following year.  Our RailRoad range is more durable than our standard range, making it perfect for beginners, children, and the most enthusiastic of model railway runners. Class 150/1 2-Car DMU 150101 Northern The Class 150 Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) is an enduring design, first introduced in 1984 much of the fleet remains in service today with operators including Northern Trains. The distinctive blue and white livery of Northern makes a return to the Branchline Class 150 DMU, this time on a Class 150/1 as classmate 150101. Constructed from a highly detailed bodyshell which is adorned with separate components like the cab front handrails, roof ariels and exhaust, the Branchline model replicates the Class 150/1 faithfully. This announcement is also the first time we have produced Class 150/1’s with an accessible toilet in the DMSL, as signified by the blanked off toilet window on one side. The underframe boasts a suite of parts to depict the engine, drive train, electrical gear and auxiliary equipment, while inside the model, passenger seating is included along with cab detail. BR Class 153 153360 Serco Northern Rail The Hornby Class 153 No. 153360 is finished in the distinctive Northern Rail livery, representing its appearance during regular service in the north of England. It is DCC ready with a 21-pin decoder socket for easy digital upgrade and fitted with NEM couplings. History: The Northern Rail franchise commenced in December 2004 and inherited its fleet from those of Arriva Trains Northern and First North Western, including a large number of Class 153 single units, of which No. 153360 was one.  Under Northern Rail, the unit saw considerable use in the Carlisle area, including services on the Settle and Carlisle line and the Cumbria coastal line to Barrow-in-Furness.  Arriva Rail North, Northern Rail’s successor from 2016, operated the largest fleet of Class 153 units in the UK.
