21T Hopper Grimethorpe Coalite Triple Pack 206, 210 and 640.
Grimethorpe Colliery was part of a large and highly productive Coalite facility near Barnsley in South Yorkshire. Coalite was a type of low-temperature coke used as smokeless fuel. Wagons such as these were used on the internal rail system and in coal trains. The colliery closed in 1993 and the Coalite plant closed the following year.
Each highly detailed scale model in this 21T Hopper Wagon Triple Pack has a different running number: 206, 210 and 640.

RailRoad: HFA MGR Hopper Canopy Wagon
The hopper wagon is decorated in the style of Railfreight’s coal sector. The hopper body is made of unpainted metal and has a black underframe, which was standard across the eras, and it has the yellow framework that BR Railfreight introduced in 1987. The wagon is numbered 358764.
When originally designed in 1964, some hopper wagons intended for Merry-go-Round (MGR) trains were given an extension to their tops, known as a canopy or top skirt, which allowed their carrying capacity to be increased to 32 tonnes, using the full 45 tonnes gross laden weight allowed for a two-axle wagon. There were three basic types ‘HBA’, ‘HCA’ and ‘HFA’. However, those hoppers fitted with canopies were too high to be used under the majority of colliery screens and they were confined mainly to Scotland until the canopies were eventually removed.

RailRoad: GWR, Class 800, MC Coach '814001'
This GWR Class 800 Motor Composite (MC) coach is one of the five coaches you need to recreate a full GWR Class 800 train. This is the perfect complement to the GWR Class 800 train pack that consists of the drive and dummy unit - you can add just this coach or any of the other two coaches available. The Class 800 trains were developed as replacements for the long-serving Class 43 HSTs and were first introduced on the Great Western Main Line in October 2017. Manufactured by Hitachi Rail, 36 five-car sets were built between 2014 and 2018 as part of the UK Government’s ‘Intercity Express Programme’ (IEP) and branded ‘Intercity Express Train’ (IET). The trains are bi-mode, capable of working along the newly electrified sections of the route, while diesel engines allow them to reach destinations that have not yet been electrified. An intended fleet of purely electric Class 801 ‘IETs’ were instead built to bi-mode specification in 2017/8, due to delays in completing electrification work, and these were designated as Class 800/3s. There are currently 21 of these running as nine-car sets.
Sets designated Classes 800/1 and 800/2 operate as nine and five-car sets respectively under ‘Azuma’ branding for operator LNER on the East Coast Main Line. The GWR ‘IET’ sets are numbered 800001-800036 and 800301-800321 and several of these trains have been given two names, one on each of the driving units. These are mainly the names of well-known people from history, including famous sportsmen and women, politicians, decorated war veterans and members of the Royal Family, with the driving units each carrying a different name (some sets do have just one name). Interesting exceptions include 800010 which has ‘Paddington Bear’ at one end and his creator ‘Michael Bond’ at the other, and 800316 which is named ‘Lionesses’, in honour of the England Ladies football team. The GWR’s historic past is not forgotten either, and 800004 is named ‘Isambard Kingdom Brunel’ and ‘Sir Daniel Gooch’, both eminent engineers associated with the original Great Western Railway.

BR, Mk4 DVT '82218' Intercity Swallow
This BR Driving Van Trailer comes with directional lighting, extra detail accessories and a 21-pin decoder socket, allowing you to fit an HM7000 decoder and speaker, giving it sound options. This DVT is compatible with BR Intercity Mk4 coaches and a BR Intercity Class 91 locomotive.
The BR InterCity Mk4 DVT was designed to work with Mk4 carriages on the East Coast Main Line as a driver control car working in push-pull mode with Class 91 electric locomotives on InterCity 225 trains. Introduced in 1990, the DVT would normally be marshalled at the south end of the train, adjacent to the First Class carriages. The model is finished in the classic 1990s InterCity ‘Swallow’ livery of white with a dark grey mid-section and a lower red band, with full yellow ends. DVT 82218 still exists as a barrier/translator vehicle owned by the Harry Needle Railroad Company.

12t Tanker Wagon, BP Shell 'A5066'
The tank wagon was the main method of transporting liquid cargo in the early days of the railway. Instead of loading liquids into drums or barrels and then having to load these on and off closed or open vans at each side of a journey, the tank wagon could be filled with the fluid of choice of the operator and then emptied at the other end. This also increased the carrying capacity of each wagon, as a wagon with a 12-tonne weight limit could carry more fluid if it did not have to factor in the weight of many barrels on top of their contents. This type of tank wagon was more commonly seen hauling hazardous liquid chemicals, with different designs for milk and other such cargo.
To replicate true freight operations on your layout, look no further than this BP/Shell silver-liveried 12T tank wagon with the running number A5066.

Mk4 Driving Van Trailer (DVT) - GNER Livery
Built at Metro-Cammell's Washwood Heath factory, 314 Mk4 coaches were produced between 1989 and 1992. They were built specifically for use on the newly electrified East Coast Main Line, along with hopes that a second order for the West Coast Main Line would be placed at a later date, although this second order never transpired. Mk4 coaches featured many improvements over the Mk3s such as push-button operated plug-type doors, fully sealed gangways and a designed top speed of 140mph. Much of the Mk4 design was based upon the Advanced Passenger Train. In particular, Mk4 coaches feature sides profiled to allow a tilt of up to 6° with newly fitted tilting bogies.
Mk4s entered service in 1989 and helped drive a significant increase in passenger traffic. With privatisation in 1996, all Mk4 coaches were sold to Evershot Rail Group who have since leased them out to the holder of the InterCity East Coast Franchise. The franchise was initially awarded to Great North Eastern Railway (GNER) and has since been operated by National Express East Coast, East Coast, Virgin Trains East Coast and London North Eastern Railway (LNER) owned by the Department for Transport.
Between October 2003 and November 2005 Bombardier Transportation, under contract from GNER, commenced refurbishment of the Mk4 stock, fitting new seating arrangements and introduced onboard Wi-Fi, a first for British rail services. This refurbishment programme was called 'Project Mallard' named after the Mallard steam locomotive, built in the 1930s by the London & North Eastern Railway and holder of the world speed record for steam locomotives.
Built by Metro-Cammell for inclusion in the InterCity 225 sets, 32 Mk4 Driving Van Trailers (DVTs) were built with the bodyshell manufactured under sub-contract by Breda in Italy. Whilst they were designed to operate with Class 91 locomotives as part of the InterCity 225 set, Mk4 DVTs have also operated with Class 90 and Class 89 locomotives.
Although Mk4 DVTs have spent most of their lives on the ECML, they are now being cascaded down to other franchises including Transport for Wales due to the introduction of the Class 800 and Class 801 IEPs.
