HM7000: 6 BLE Decoder 6 Pin w/ Fine Wire (No Sound) Part of the innovative HM7000 range, this new 6-pin Bluetooth® and DCC decoder is designed to get smaller locomotives working on the HM7000 system. The 6-pin connectors are located on the end of flexible wires, giving you more flexibility when installing the decoder in models with limited space. The decoder is designed to supply 1000mA continuous load to the main motor and a peak demand of 1500mA, making it highly suitable for most N scale locos and small TT, HO and OO locomotives. An R7377 Power Bank can be purchased separately and added to this decoder. We recommend for ease you do this during the first install. The Power Bank will keep the loco operating during short power outages when running over dirty track or complex points.

LNER 12T Ventilated Fruit Van BR Bauxite (Early) Britain’s railways were developed primarily to move freight and the early railway companies employed vans of many different designs to transport goods and merchandise that required covered transport. Each railway company had its own designs, some of which were intended for specific traffic like this Fruit Van built by the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER). The fruit vans sported louvres at each end and ventilators on the roof to allow fresh air to circulate within, keeping fruit fresh during its journey. This Branchline models depicts one of those wooden bodied vans and the planked body is replicated with fine engraving, with precision moulding to capture every detail of the sliding doors and their mechanism, topped off with a separately fitted metal door handle. On the roof, the six ventilators are each moulded in full relief before being added individually, the central pair being offset as per the prototype. The chassis employs metal wheelsets of the 3-hole disc variety around which safety loops are added from formed metal wire, whilst the brakes, brake handles and associated gear is all included. Representing a van fitted with vacuum brakes, the brake cylinder is mounted underneath the wagon and brake pipes are fitted to each bufferbeam alongside metal buffer heads cosmetic coupling hooks. LMS Ivatt 2MT 46464 BR Lined Black (Early) (Preserved)  Ivatt’s 2MT ‘Mogul’ 2-6-0 Tender Locomotives were popular, go-anywhere engines which served the LMS and BR for two decades and across a wide area, making this Bachmann Branchline model a great choice for many modellers wishing to depict the steam age or preservation, as the type remains strongly represented today. The Branchline model of Ivatt’s 2-6-0 mogul employs a diecast running plate and locomotive chassis to provide an impressive weight, ensuring that the model’s performance matches that of the prototype. Meanwhile, those components produced in plastic are precision moulded, with details such as rivets and boiler bands crisply reproduced. Separate parts are then added to enhance the authenticity of the model further, from the metal handrails and lamp irons to the safety valves, whistle and sprung buffers, each of which are turned brass. Further details are added individually like the lubricators and sand boxes adorning the running plate and the brake blocks, brake rigging and metal wire sandpipes mounted to the chassis. Within the cab, controls, dials and pipework are all moulded authentically and decorated accordingly. Moving to the tender and two lengths of locomotive to tender drawbar are provided to suit different layout conditions whilst the tender itself is finely moulded, with several separately applied details including the lamp irons, handrails, handwheels and sprung metal buffers. G. Ivatt for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS), 128 of these Class 2 Moguls were built for light freight and passenger duties. With construction commencing in 1946, just twenty examples were built by the LMS and the remaining 108 were outshopped by British Railways following Nationalisation in 1948. The construction programme was completed in 1952 and these Mixed Traffic locomotives would go on to operate on all the BR regions, with the exception of the Southern. Light axle loadings allowed the Ivatt 2MTs to be used on most routes including branch lines, where their almost enclosed cabs made them ideal for working tender first when no turning facilities existed. The design provided the basis for the BR Standard Class 2MT 2-6-0, and the two are very similar in appearance, with the Standard version having only a modified cab and tender profile to allow unrestricted route availability across the British network. With BR progressively closing more and more branch lines, and rationalising others – often employing new diesel multiple units to provide a more economical passenger service – duties for small locomotives like the Ivatt 2MTs began to disappear and the decline of the class began in 1961 when the first example was withdrawn. The Mogul’s versatility and its relatively modern design however ensured that many examples were still in traffic until the mid-1960s, but by 1967 all had been withdrawn. Thankfully, seven Ivatt 2MT have been preserved and the type is an ideal source of motive power for many of the trains running on heritage railways today.

The LMS built 52 of these locomotives for express passenger duties but sadly none were preserved, however The LMS Patriot Project was launched in 2008 to build a replica Patriot Class locomotive to represent this long-lost class and create a national memorial engine, recognising the role that class leader No. 5500 performed for the LMS from 1937. Bachmann is proud to support The LMS Patriot Project and by producing this model of ‘the Unknown Warrior’ we will be helping towards the completion of its full size counterpart. Boasting a high level of detail, the Branchline Patriot is constructed with a diecast metal running plate paired with a precision moulded boiler, firebox and cab capturing the loco’s distinctive appearance, most notably the parallel boiler and Fowler-designed cab. Etched metal smoke deflectors are then added, along with countless separate detailing parts like the metal handrails, turned brass safety valves, lamp irons and lubricators. The locomotive’s diecast chassis is enhanced with brake blocks, brake rigging and sandboxes with separate wire sandpipes. Moving to the tender and the locomotive to tender drawbar is adjustable to suit individual layout conditions, whilst electrical connections are incorporated into the drawbar and a poseable fallplate is fitted to the tender, which itself is another precision moulded part, with several separately applied details including the lamp irons, tank vents, coal rails and handwheels. A realistic coal load is included whilst the tender chassis sports brake rigging and water pick-up gear. Sprung metal buffers are fitted to both the front of the locomotive and the rear of the tender. Within the cab, a detailed boiler backhead is present and the pipework and controls are enhanced with individual decoration. The ventilator on the cab roof is a separate part, allowing it to be posed in the open or closed position, or somewhere in between. The high level of decoration is not reserved only for the cab interior of course, and the model boasts an authentic rendition of the BR Lined Green livery complete with full-colour early emblems. The beautifully crafted livery application is finished with precision printed details like the running number, shed code and builders plaques, whilst etched nameplates are supplied for user-fitting to complete the look of this express locomotive. With a powerful three pole motor and a proven drive train, the Branchline Patriot is a surefooted machine that boasts electrical pickups from the driving wheels and tender wheels. The Bachmann Branchline model brings the G2 to OO Scale with a high fidelity rendition of the early-twentieth century powerhouse. This model of No. 9446 forms part of our new Railway Celebrations range and depicts the locomotive that took part in the 100th Anniversary celebrations of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. In 1925, to mark the centenary, a celebration of railways featuring locomotives from the past century was put on by the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER). Opened by the Duke and Duchess of York – later King Geroge VI and Queen Elizabeth – a procession of locomotives took place over some six miles of line between Stockton and Darlington, passing the royal grandstand and delighting the hundreds of thousands of onlookers who turned out to witness the celebrations. The parade of 53 locomotives intended to showcase the evolution of the steam locomotive, from the early examples to modern designs. The first London & North Western Railway (LNWR) 0-8-0 locomotives were built in 1893, however the G2 was somewhat younger, being built between 1921 and 1922 and No. 9446 was one of 60 locomotives built to this design at Crewe Works. It was completed in 1945 and allocated the WD number 75310. Following war dept service, the locomotive was purchased by the NCB and allocated to number 6 area, North West Durham. Class 37 37429 'Eisteddfod Genedlaethol' BR Large Logo Representing the original Cardiff Canton batch of six Class 37/4 conversions is No. 37429, ‘refurbished’ by Crewe Works from No. 37300 (originally D6600) in March 1986. Nos. 37426-37431 were originally planned to join the rest of the sub class on the Scottish Region. However, before they were completed the London Midland identified a more pressing need for this batch, although they were allocated to Canton in South Wales due to this depot’s extensive knowledge of the English Electric Type 3s. The introduction of Electric Train Heat (ETH) fitted locomotives to the restricted weight Cambrian route from Wolverhampton to the Welsh coast allowed InterCity to supplement its tired Mk.1 fleet on London Euston to Aberystwyth and Pwllheli services with air-conditioned Mk.2 coaches, although Mk.1s – often Network SouthEast liveried sets – were still regulars on the summer-dated trains into the 1990s. Unlike their cousins north of the border, the Welsh ‘37/4s’ were primarily passenger machines and they also found themselves allocated to Liverpool Lime St/Manchester Piccadilly/North Wales-Cardiff and Cardiff-Bristol-Weymouth diagrams. Outshopped in large logo livery, it soon gained a small red Welsh dragon logo on the driver’s cabsides, and later acquired the Sir Dyfed / County of Dyfed nameplates from No. 37180 in April 1987. However, they were removed after just four months and the locomotive was renamed Eisteddfod Genedlaethol – after the famous festival – in the August. Class 37 37414 Triple Grey Construction Sector The introduction of Class 156 ‘Super Sprinters’ on the West Highland from January 1989 and on the Far North/Kyle lines in the May triggered an exodus of Class 37/4s to freight work. By the end of that year, Laira, Motherwell and Tinsley had gained allocations, while Immingham and Thornaby both acquired three locos each in the middle of 1990, by which point half the sub class were south of the border. One of these was No. 37414, which was on china clay duties in Cornwall until transferred to the North Lincolnshire depot’s FABI pool that September. This loco, which retained its Western Region-style lamp irons at the No.2 end only, had been repainted in the Roundel triple grey scheme with Distribution decals in August 1989, but quickly swapped these for more appropriate Construction brandings after its move. This saw it mostly outbased at Buxton in the Peak District to haul aggregates, cement and the iconic ICI limestone trains.While it wasn’t completely allergic to passenger work during this period, it moved to Crewe Diesel in November 1992 to join the RCMC Regional Railways North West pool, initially to work Liverpool Lime St/Crewe-Cardiff trains, still wearing its classic Railfreight image. In March 1993 it became the first member of the fleet to receive the new Regional Railways livery along with the name Cathays C&W Works 1846-1993, becoming a stalwart of the North Wales coast and the famed ‘club’ trains from Liverpool and Manchester Victoria. Accurascale Class 37 37421 Colas

Class 37 37421 Colas Stored by EWS at Motherwell in March 2005 and sold for preservation at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway in 2009, No. 37421 was one of four Class 37s that was purchased by Colas Rail in 2013 for a return to the main line, along with Nos. 37116, 37175 and 37219. While the latter pair debuted for their new owner in the middle of 2014, it would be another year before No. 37421 would re-enter traffic along with BR green-liveried former Harry Needle Class 37/0 No. 37057/D6757, just in time to assist on the newly acquired Network Rail infrastructure monitoring contract. For the next four years, the Colas Class 37/4 was a solid performer on various test formations, until called to South Wales in May 2019 to provide power for Cardiff-Rhymney line commuter turns along with hired-in Nos. 37025 and 37418. This followed a fallow few months when the locomotive was under repair and eventually returned after a bogie swap with No. 37175. The Rhymney workings ended in March 2020 and it was back to test train work, mixed in with NR saloon duties with No. 975025 Caroline and the odd infrastructure duty. Cosmetically, towards the end of that same year it swapped its Colas ‘hard hat’ logos for new diamond stickers, although it has stubbornly retained its unique arrangement of single lamp irons on different sides of the locomotive at each end. Despite the increasing number of Colas HST power cars on the NR services, No. 37421 is still a regular atop PLPR (Plain Line Pattern Recognition) and UTU (Ultrasonic Testing Unit) formations and is expected to remain a key component of the operator’s fleet for several years to come. Class 37 37408 'Loch Rannoch' EWS Arguably the most popular of the Class 37/4s in the British Rail and early privatisation era, No. 37408 Loch Rannoch clinged obstinately to its large logo paint scheme – the last so adorned – until being called to Toton in mid-1998 for a repaint. Following a protracted overhaul, which included a new toughened centre window, it debuted in the revised maroon and gold of its owner EWS, sans-nameplates, in November and wasn’t reunited with its famous name until the following February. Over the next seven years, the former No. 37289 (built as D6989) was a regular performer on loco-hauled services around the country, particularly Birmingham/Crewe-Bangor/Holyhead, Cardiff-Fishguard/Rhymney and Crewe/Manchester, Leeds-Carlisle/Knaresborough and even in Scotland on the Fort William sleeper. It could also be found on a wide variety of freight and even Railtrack/Network Rail test trains and was variously allocated to Crewe Diesel, Motherwell, Cardiff Canton, Toton and Margam during this period.Outshopped in the same livery in March 2002, its rock star status meant that it was never long before it gained various accoutrements, including regular bouts of Eastfield ‘Westies’, silver buffers, white lamp irons, black headcode panels and even Immingham 40B shedplates. It seemed inevitable that Rannoch would return to large logo in due course and would have been a favourite for preservation, but after running away and colliding with its stabled rake of coaches at Rhymney on 1 August 2005 the locomotive was stored and repairs were not authorised.
