Railroad: GWR County 1013 'County of Dorset' BR Lined Green  The ‘County’ Class was the last of the GWR-designed two-cylinder 4-6-0s, with 30 built at Swindon between 1945 and 1947 to the design of Chief Mechanical Engineer, Frederick Hawksworth.  ‘County of Dorset’ entered service in February 1946 and spent most of its early years in the West Country at Bristol, Plymouth, Truro and Penzance, before transferring to Shrewsbury in December 1951. Railroad: GNR N2 1606 GNR Lined Green Introduced to a design by Nigel Gresley for the Great Northern Railway in 1920, 1744 was built by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow in February 1921. At the Grouping two years later, it became LNER 4744 and then 9523 under the 1946 renumbering scheme, before finally becoming BR 69523 at nationalisation. Withdrawn from New England shed, Peterborough in September 1962, it was purchased by the Gresley Society Trust for preservation the following year. It has been based variously at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, the Great Central Railway and – most recently – the North Norfolk Railway, where, following a major overhaul, it is set to return to steam in time to celebrate ‘Gresley 150’ during 2026. - OO Scale

This Collection marks 150 years since Sir Gresley's birth, and this locomotive includes a figure.  With a shiny new blue livery and NEM tension lock couplings, this steam locomotive is a wonderful collector's piece.  Entering service with the LNER as 4498 in Garter blue with streamlined side-skirting and red wheels, this was the 100th Gresley ‘Pacific’ to be built when it emerged from Doncaster Works in October 1937. Allocated to King’s Cross ‘Top Shed’ and used on front-line express services such as the prestigious ‘Coronation’ between London and Edinburgh, ‘SNG’ was built with a single chimney and had stainless steel numbers and letters for the tender added at a general overhaul in January 1939.  After a period in wartime black, when the side-skirts were permanently removed, the locomotive returned to lined Garter blue in March 1947. Painted into BR’s express passenger blue in September 1950, as 60007, it set a post-war steam record speed of 112mph on 23 May 1959. This Collection marks 150 years since Sir Stanier's birth, and this locomotive includes a figure. With a shiny bold red livery and NEM tension lock couplings, this steam locomotive is a must-have for collectors. The ‘Princess Coronation’ Class, also known as the ‘Duchess’ Class, was an enlarged and improved version of William Stanier’s successful ‘Princess Royal’ Class ‘Pacific’. The first ten class members emerged from Crewe Works in a streamlined form during 1937 and five of these were put aside specifically for hauling the prestigious ‘Coronation Scot’ between London Euston and Glasgow Central. These were painted in Caledonian blue and had silver horizontal lining, which matched the carriages they pulled. No. 6220 set a new British steam speed record of 114mph in 1937, but this was beaten by the LNER’s ‘Mallard’ in 1938. Built with a single chimney, 6220 was the last of the original 15 to be fitted with a double blast pipe and chimney in 1944. L&MR Robert Stephenson’s 'Rocket'  For the first time, Stephenson's Rocket is presented as a solo locomotive, with a sleek yellow livery, fixed metal buffers and chain couplings. This highly detailed, diminuitive locomotive model is a must-have model for steam collectors, due to its historical importance and incredible model engineering.  This historically important locomotive was built in 1929 to participate in the Rainhill Trials, a competition set-up by the promoters of the Liverpool and Manchester Railway to find suitable motive power for its opening the following year. Built to the order of his father George (who was the L&MR’s principal engineer at the time), ‘Rocket’ was designed by Robert Stephenson and built at his Forth Street Works in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.  The design was the most advanced in its day and ‘Rocket’ won the Trials. One of the last of its class to be built, this locomotive was completed after nationalisation of Britain’s railways to Bulleid’s Southern ‘Merchant Navy’ design, complete with streamlined casing and chain-driven valve gear, entering service in December 1948. It didn’t receive its name until January 1951, during a ceremony at Southampton Docks. Like all 30 members of the class, ‘Clan Line’ was rebuilt, in its case, during 1959, and remained in service until withdrawal from Nine Elms, London in July 1947. BR Rebuilt Merchant Navy 35028 'Clan line' BR Lined Green (Sound/Smoke Fitted) The BR Rebuilt Merchant Navy 'Clan Line' is back in OO model form. This newly tooled model locomotive has sprung metal buffers and NEM tension lock couplings and is a highly detailed replica of a popular steam engine. One of the last of its class to be built, this locomotive was completed after nationalisation of Britain’s railways to Bulleid’s Southern ‘Merchant Navy’ design, complete with streamlined casing and chain-driven valve gear, entering service in December 1948. It didn’t receive its name until January 1951, during a ceremony at Southampton Docks. Like all 30 members of the class, ‘Clan Line’ was rebuilt, in its case, during 1959, and remained in service until withdrawal from Nine Elms, London in July 1947. It was subsequently saved privately for preservation and is a regular main line performer, once hauling the prestigious Belmond British Pullman. LSWR Adams T3 560 SR Lined Maunsell Green The first LSWR T3 Class locomotive was built in 1892 and 125 years later, the T3 was thrown into the spotlight when the National Railway Museum donated the sole preserved example, No. 563, to the Swanage Railway Trust. Ever since this controversial move there has been a desire to see a OO scale model of this Victorian masterpiece, and now, we are delighted to fulfil those wishes with this brand-new model developed for Bachmann’s EFE Rail range. Employing a large number of diecast metal components to provide the optimal weight distribution needed for this 4-4-0 locomotive to perform at its best, the EFE Rail T3 is powered by a five pole motor and flywheel which is geared to the rear driving axle. DCC provision comes in the form of a Next18 decoder socket mounted in the tender, where a speaker is also fitted, meanwhile within the cab of the model a firebox lighting system has been installed which operates on both analogue and DCC. An innovative loco-to-tender coupling design provides both integral electrical connections and a close coupling feature, whilst at either end of the model NEM coupling pockets are fitted and sprung metal buffers are mounted on each bufferbeam. The Bachmann Branchline model brings the G2 to OO Scale with a high fidelity rendition of the early-twentieth century powerhouse. This model of No. 9446 forms part of our new Railway Celebrations range and depicts the locomotive that took part in the 100th Anniversary celebrations of the opening of the Stockton & Darlington Railway. In 1925, to mark the centenary, a celebration of railways featuring locomotives from the past century was put on by the London & North Eastern Railway (LNER). Opened by the Duke and Duchess of York – later King Geroge VI and Queen Elizabeth – a procession of locomotives took place over some six miles of line between Stockton and Darlington, passing the royal grandstand and delighting the hundreds of thousands of onlookers who turned out to witness the celebrations. The parade of 53 locomotives intended to showcase the evolution of the steam locomotive, from the early examples to modern designs. The first London & North Western Railway (LNWR) 0-8-0 locomotives were built in 1893, however the G2 was somewhat younger, being built between 1921 and 1922 and No. 9446 was one of 60 locomotives built to this design at Crewe Works. Outshopped as LNWR No. 1012, the locomotive was the first G2 to receive London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) numbering, becoming No. 9446 which was applied in June 1925, along with LMS livery with a high gloss finish in preparation for its participation in the centenary celebrations. RailRoad: Shepway Steelworks, Class B4, No. 9 This RailRoad B4 Class steam shunter is the ideal little tank engine for a model railway layout. Whether running a short train around a layout or shunting wagons in a goods yard, it is the perfect little steam engine for getting things moved! This RailRoad model is a good example of a privately owned steam shunter that could have been seen working in an industrial setting. The B4 Class were first introduced in the 1890’s with their original purpose being for station piloting and shunting freight wagons in docks. They were designed by London and South Western Railway (LSWR). The close wheel configuration made them ideal for shunting around tight radius curves that were common in docks and works yards with limited space. Dublo: BR (Early) Princess Coronation Duchess of Buccleuch 46230   Also known as the ‘Duchess’ Class, Stanier’s ‘Princess Coronations’ were among the biggest and most powerful express passenger locomotives in Britain.  Thirty-five were built at Crewe Works between 1937 and 1948, many having streamlined casing. Ten were set aside for hauling the prestigious ‘Coronation Scot’ between London Euston and Glasgow. No. 46230 wasn’t one of those, but it was the first of the third batch of locomotives, which consisted of five non-streamlined versions, and went new to Camden in June 1938 as LMS No. 6230.  At Nationalisation in 1948, the locomotive became BR No. 46230 and was painted in lined Brunswick green as depicted by the model. Hunslet Austerity VF5300 NCB North East 59 This Austerity was another wartime product, this time from the Vulcan foundry, Newton-le-Willows. It was completed in 1945 and allocated the WD number 75310. Following war dept service, the locomotive was purchased by the NCB and allocated to number 6 area, North West Durham. Particular to this area is the cut back cabs on all locomotives for working the restricted clearance of the tunnel on the entrance to Lambton coal drops at the port of Sunderland. Another smaller feature on this locomotive was the relocation of the injectors to above the running plate ahead of the cab. Bagnall in Stafford and was one of the 377 locomotives built for the War Department and originally carried the number 75174. This particular one was completed in November 1944 and carried the WD number 71498. Purchased by the LNER in June 1946 the locomotive was classified as a J94 and numbered 8025. The distinctive extended bunker was fitted in November 1949 when it was renumbered 68025 and gained the early BR emblem. The locomotive was based at Darlington 51A until withdrawal in 1963. The locomotive did not survive and was cut up shortly after. The distinctive extended bunker was fitted in November 1949 when it was renumbered 68025 and gained the early BR emblem. The locomotive was based at Darlington 51A until withdrawal in 1963. The locomotive did not survive and was cut up shortly after. GWR 94XX Pannier Tank 9463 BR Black (Late Crest) The 94xx Pannier Tank returns to the Bachmann Branchline range and with its unconventional appearance – with large water tanks and extended smokebox – this model will bring a real presence to any model railway. A quintessential part of the GWR for many decades, the Pannier Tank design was developed and refined before the 94xx, the final design of GWR tank engine, was produced. No. 9466, as depicted by this model, one of only two preserved examples, found fame after returning to steam in the mid-1980s and operated on the mainline hauling ‘Steam on the Met’ rail tours.
