<p>Class 23 &#039;Baby Deltic&#039; H/code Box D5901 BR Green (SYP)
Another type that has never been produced in N scale, the new EFE Rail models tell the story of this Class of ten locomotives that were ordered from English Electric as part of BR&amp;rsquo;s 1955 Modernisation Plan. Despite a service life spanning little more than ten years, the Baby Deltics have an interesting past; being rebuilt after just a few short years in service and emerging again with a distinct new look before their premature demise.
The EFE Rail models have been designed to portray the real locomotives throughout their working lives so two bodyshells have been produced, one with headcode discs for the as-built examples and a second with central headcode panels. Boasting injection moulded bodyshells with fine relief detail and precision engraving, all of the locomotive&amp;rsquo;s defining features are recreated in miniature. Separate metal handrails are added aside each cab door and on the nose ends, whilst below the solebar separate tanks are fitted and the bogies are crafted with full brake and suspension detail.
Powered by a coreless motor, DCC provision comes in the form of a Next18 decoder socket and space is provided for a speaker for those wishing to add sound. Directional lights are fitted and a switch is provided on the PCB to turn off the red tail lights, or this can be done via a function key when a DCC decoder is fitted.

<p>54ft non-Corridor Composite S&amp;amp;DJR Lined Blue
The EFE Rail 54ft non-Corridor Bogie Coaches are based on the brand&amp;rsquo;s highly acclaimed Isle of Wight Coaching stock – the prototypes for which were rebuilt from former London, Brighton &amp;amp; South Coast Railway vehicles before their move to the island. With no authentic coaching stock available to depict passenger operations of many of the Victorian railway companies, these EFE models give a true feel of train travel from yesteryear and come finished in authentic liveries for some of the pre-Grouping companies that have so far been uncatered for when it comes to ready to run coaching stock.
Each model is produced using a high fidelity injection moulded bodyshell adorned with extra details, like the ornate metal handrails that are each separately fitted, the etched metal end steps and the emergency brake gear. Beneath each coach the truss rods have been authentically modelled alongside separate battery boxes, the Westinghouse brake components complete the look. Metal wheelsets are used throughout whilst the NEM coupling pockets are mounted on close-coupling mechanisms fitted to the coach chassis, providing close coupling whilst still allowing the models to negotiate second radius curves.

<p>Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 Tank Lined Blue - O Scale
Bachmann has partnered with Australian manufacturer Ixion Model Railways to bring their award-winning Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 Tank Locomotives to the EFE Rail range, becoming the brand&amp;rsquo;s first O Scale Steam Locomotive. Voted as model of the year by readers of Model Rail Magazine and RMweb, the Hudswell Clarke certainly packs a punch for such a small locomotive, with its high level of detailing, and smooth and powerful performance thanks to its impressive weight – resulting from the high use of diecast components in its construction.
Boasting finescale wheels and with a sprung rear wheelset, the Hudswell Clarke will navigate O gauge track with ease, collecting power from each of the six wheels. Between the sprung metal buffers is a sprung drawgear which is fitted with three-link couplings. The powerful five pole motor is fitted with a large flywheel driving the center wheelset via a precision 40:1 gearbox, meanwhile DCC provision comes in the form of a 8 Pin decoder socket and space and connections are provided for those wishing to fit a speaker and sound decoder.
The highly detailed bodyshell is adorned with numerous separate components, from the handrails and lamp irons to the whistle and safety valves, and the detailing continues inside the cab which includes controls and dials. The livery application is executed precisely, extending to the cab interior and the underframe too, where components like the wheels and sandboxes are decorated accordingly to give each model a neat, uniform appearance. For that little bit extra, each model is supplied with a set of loco tools, including shovels, picks, rakes and prickers, plus a bucket and oil cans to help you personalize your Hudswell Clarke Tank.
Features:
- EFE Rail O Scale

<p>Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 Tank Maroon 1539 &#039;Derek Crouch&#039; - O Scale

Conceived in the late-1930s to take advantage of the Southern&amp;rsquo;s expansive electrified network, two of these Co-Co locomotives were built, gaining the nickname the &amp;lsquo;Boosters&amp;rsquo; due to their motor-generator-flywheel drive arrangement employed to overcome &amp;lsquo;gapping&amp;rsquo;, when the locomotive could momentarily loose its electrical supply when travelling over gaps in the conductor rail.
Produced especially for the EFE Rail range, this all-new model features a wealth of detail with a varied tooling suite allowing the first two locomotives, CC1 and CC2, to be modelled accurately at various points in their careers. Driven by a 5 pole, skew wound motor with flywheel, each of the six axles are driven whilst all twelve wheels provide electrical pickup. Directional lighting will operate in the forwards direction (the real locomotives were not fitted with tail lights), whilst cab lighting can be operated using a magnetic wand when used on analogue control, or when a 21 Pin DCC decoder is fitted, via two DCC functions. A speaker is pre-fitted to every model, allowing a sound decoder to be fitted to bring another dimension to your model in an instant.
