Class 47/7 47791 'Venice Simplon Orient Express' RES Bachmann’s award-winning Class 47 is back, and our brilliant Brush is better than ever following a brief spell in the works to add further enhancements to this stunning OO scale model. Every Branchline Class 47 now comes with our Bach-Up Stay Alive System pre-installed, providing uninterrupted power when running on DCC to eliminate stalling, light flicker and sound cut-outs. Talking of sound and our SOUND FITTED and SOUND FITTED DELUXE models now boast the Dual Fitted XL speaker system, combining two speakers for optimum sound reproduction – including the new enhanced bass reproduction speaker, a patented component which incorporates a passive radiator design for sound effects like you’ve never experienced before. To define the Class 47 look we’ve turned our attention to the cab windscreen glazing and made improvements to the fit and finish of this important area. Snowploughs were a significant feature of some Class 47s too, and we’ve totally redesigned this component which now attaches to the chassis of the locomotive, providing a fixed position for a realistic appearance even when running on curved track, and allowing the bufferbeam detail to be fitted at the same time. The colourful liveries of modern operators present some challenges when it comes to decorating our models, but with extensive research, close collaboration with the operators themselves and decades of experience producing beautifully finished models, we are able to replicate every detail. Paintwork is applied with a rich, uniform finish using original specification colours, which is then adorned with logos, typefaces and graphics, all reproduced authentically using multi-stage printing techniques to produce a model with the finest of looks. The colourful liveries of modern operators present some challenges when it comes to decorating our models, but with extensive research, close collaboration with the operators themselves and decades of experience producing beautifully finished models, we are able to replicate every detail. Paintwork is applied with a rich, uniform finish using original specification colours, which is then adorned with logos, typefaces and graphics, all reproduced authentically using multi-stage printing techniques to produce a model with the finest of looks. Bachmann Class 69 69013 Andy's Man Club GBRf Black

Class 69 69013 Andy's Man Club GBRf Black Bachmann Europe Plc has teamed up with GB Railfreight (GBRf) to produce a OO Scale model of Class 69 Diesel Locomotive No. 69013, which will be sold to help raise funds for Andy’s Man Club, the mental health charity that encourages men to talk and aims to prevent male suicide. The real loco debuted in its striking black livery at the end of April 2025, complete with Andy’s Man Club branding and contact details along with the hashtag #itsoktotalk. Bachmann will be donating proceeds from every sale of this model and with it being the 13th member of the Class 69 fleet, we aim to raise £13,000 to help Andy’s Man Club get men talking all over the UK. No. 69013 is the first model to be unveiled for the second batch of Branchline Class 69s which will be released in 2026. The real locomotive is unique amongst the 16-strong fleet of converted Class 56s in having the lower portions of its cab sheeting removed. This modification was made to the donor locomotive No. 56312 and has been carried over to No. 69013 but is not present on the other 15 locomotives. Every Branchline model is manufactured using complex and expensive tooling suites and producing a model with this unique feature is not possible using the current tooling that Bachmann has developed. Therefore, to model this variant would require new tooling, including a new bodyshell, underframe and chassis block. The cost of such additional tooling would be prohibitive for a single locomotive, preventing any meaningful donation to Andy’s Man Club. With the Class 69s being built from donor locomotives that were first built by three different works and have themselves seen almost fifty years of use and modification, Bachmann has worked closely with GBRf to accommodate any detail differences that were present on the donors and have remained apparent on the rebuilt machines, along with any changes made to the final design of the Class 69 during the ongoing build programme. This diligent approach has resulted in a truly magnificent model which befits the Branchline name, capturing the Class 56 shape to a tee alongside the modern adornments and many changes made to the locomotives to create the 69s. The bodyshell features crisp, accurate mouldings to depict the main features along with separately fitted parts, including etched bodyside and roof fan grilles, metal windscreen wipers and separately fitted driver’s door handrails. Class 158 2-Car DMU 158856 Central Trains The Class 158 is one of British Rail’s most successful second generation Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs); first introduced in 1989, the entire fleet remains in traffic to this day. Over the years many colourful liveries have adorned the units, none more so that the vivid green scheme of Central Trains and one such unit is depicted by this Bachmann Branchline model. The pinnacle of OO scale second generation DMUs, the Branchline Class 158 combines high fidelity bodyshells with an underframe that’s adorned with separate components depicting the engines, electrical equipment, and auxiliary gear. It’s the livery application which really brings these models to life and every element has been replicated in miniature. Whilst the main colours are spray painted, the myriad smaller logos, symbols and lettering are applied using a specialist printing process, using BR and corporate specification fonts, logos and colours. Driven by the low-level drive mechanism, which is fitted to each vehicle, the conductive couplings ensure that the two vehicles work together in harmony and enable the use of a single decoder for DCC operation.
