Railroad: Class 66 66022 'Lafarge Charnwood' EWS (Sound Fitted) Entering service in 1998, this was one of the original 250 locomotives ordered for EWS. Funded by Locomotion Capital Ltd, it was leased to EWS until December 2008.  No. 66022 was one of 60 locomotives sub-let to its Euro Cargo Rail subsidiary in France, starting in June 2006. It was then sold to Angel Trains, who leased it to DB Schenker Rail UK, but the locomotive remained in service in France, returning to the UK for heavy maintenance when required via the Channel Tunnel. Railroad: Class 66 66601 Freightliner 60th Green (Sound Fitted) First introduced in 1998, the Class 66 revolutionised the rail freight sector in Britain and have become the most prolific type for heavy freight work.  In 2000, a new 66/6 sub-class was created with a lower gear ratio version enabling heavier trains to be hauled, albeit at slower speeds. A total of 25 were put into service by Freightliner, numbered 66601-625 and some of these have since moved overseas for use with Freightliner Poland.  Used mainly on oil, aggregate, and cement trains, 66601 is one of 22 still operating in the UK and, on 18th March 2025, was turned out at Eastleigh Works in a new green ‘Freightliner 60’ livery.  We've faithfully recreated this locomotive in RailRoad model form, keeping plenty of detail but incorporating more durable features, making it ideal for a busy model railway layout. Railroad: BR Class 60 60038 'Avesta Polarit' EWS (Sound Fitted) A growth in demand in the heavy haulage sector led to a review of BR’s available motive power in the 1980s. With 185 locomotives of the Type 5, 3,000+ horsepower category available, made up of its Classes 56 and 58, it was clear that more would be needed, and BR put out an invitation to tender for new locomotives in 1987.  The 100 locomotive order was awarded to Brush in Loughborough, and these entered service between 1989 and 1993. No.60038 was named ‘Bidean nam Bian’ after the Scottish ‘Munro’ in Glen Coe.  With BR’s trainload freight business broken up into shadow franchises, the locomotive became part of Loadhaul, based in the north-east. By 1996, this had become part of EWS and 60038 was named 'Avesta Polarit' after the steel making company at the DFDS Immingham sea terminal on 19th March 2002. No.60069 was allocated to BR’s Train Load Freight (TLF) Coal Sector and named ‘Humphrey Davy’, in honour of the inventor of the miner’s safety lamp.  Following the break-up of TLF, the Class 60s were divided between three of the shadow franchises: Mainline Freight, Loadhaul, and Transrail Freight, but not long after they were formed they were absorbed into English, Welsh & Scottish (EWS). By 2007, it was estimated that the operational fleet was down to just 60 locomotives, the rest either in store or undergoing repair. Railroad: BR Class 90 90001 'Royal Scot' LSL Intercity (Sound Fitted) As the first member of class (originally to be designated Class 87/2 as the locomotives were seen as an upgraded version of the existing Class 87s), 90001 initially went to the Rail Technical Centre at Derby for testing in October 1987.  It entered service at Willesden depot in October 1987 and, in 1989, was named ‘BBC Midlands Today’. That name was removed in 2004 and, ten years later, it was given the name ‘Crown Point’ while based at Norwich with Abellio Greater Anglia.  In April 2020, it was bought by Locomotive Services Limited, Crewe for main line excursion work. They repainted it in its original InterCity ‘Swallow’ livery and renamed it ‘Royal Scot’. It is one of three Class 90s currently owned by LSL, the others being 90002 and 90026.  This RailRoad model brings the locomotive to life in OO scale form, but with more durable features than found on our main range. Railroad: BR Class 90 90020 'Collingwood' EWS (Sound Fitted) The Class 90 is a type of locomotive designed for mixed traffic work on the 25kV AC overhead network as replacements for aging electrics such as the Classes 81, 82, 83, 84 and 85 that dated back to the 1960s.  Between 1987 and 1990, 50 examples were built at BREL Crewe and put into traffic on the West Coast Main Line during the latter years of British Rail and were equally at home on freight and passenger traffic. Following privatisation of BR, the type served with various operators, such as Abellio Greater Anglia, Virgin Trains West Coast, GNER, and freight operators Freightliner and EWS.  This RailRoad locomotive model of 90020 is depicted during its time as part of the EWS fleet when named ‘Collingwood’. Sporting a striking red and yellow livery, this model is DCC sound fitted, for an extra authentic touch. Railroad: BR Class 91 91018 'Robert Louis Stevenson' Intercity (Sound Fitted)  A total of 31 Class 91s were built between 1988 and 1991 for high-speed express passenger train haulage as part of the East Coast electrification programme of the late 1980s. Also known as InterCity 225s in anticipation of their service speed of 225km/h (140mph), they were also referred to as ‘Electras’ by BR during their development phase.  No. 91018 was built at BREL Crewe and entered service in 1990. It received the name ‘Robert Louis Stevenson’ in November 1993, and this was changed to ‘Bradford Film Festival’ in February 2000. It was modified to Class 91/1 in 2002 and renumbered 91118, and remained in service until withdrawn by LNER in May 2020, before going into storage. Railroad: BR Class 37 37501 'Teesside Steelmaster' ROG British Steel Blue (Sound Fitted) Built by English Electric at its Vulcan Foundry in Lancashire, the locomotive this RailRoad model is based on started life in January 1961 as D6705, going new to Stratford depot in London.  After becoming 37005 under TOPS, it was rebuilt as a Class 37/5 in April 1985, which included replacing its EE generator with a new Brush unit, and a complete re-wire, with a consequent renumbering to 37501. It was then painted into its distinctive British Steel pale blue colour scheme, gaining Thornaby Kingfisher motif and British Steel logos. It was then named ‘Teesside Steelmaster’ in 1987.  It was later modified for the proposed Channel Tunnel sleeper ‘Nightstar’ project (which was later aborted) to become a 37/6 in February 1995 and renumbered to 37601. It is currently one of six Class 37s leased by Rail Operations Group from Europhoenix for contracted movement of passenger stock, including EMUs. It was renumbered again in April 1989, when it became a 47/8 and was given the number 47823, before becoming 47787 as part of the EWS fleet and being named ‘Windsor Castle’. Previously, it had carried the names ‘SS Great Britain' and ‘Victim Support’. Railroad: BR Class 08 08256 BR Blue (Sound Fitted) A total of 996 of the diesel electric shunters were built at various BR works between 1952 and 1962. As the standard BR general-purpose diesel shunter, the type became a common sight at major stations and freight yards across the country.  The locomotive this example is based on started life as 13326 in November 1956, having been completed at Darlington, and was new to New England, Peterborough. It later served at Sheffield Darnall, Tinsley, Finsbury Park, Hitchin, Startford and finally, from May 1968 at Colchester, from where it was withdrawn in February 1984. It was cut-up at Doncaster Works by January the following year.  Our RailRoad range is more durable than our standard range, making it perfect for beginners, children, and the most enthusiastic of model railway runners. In January 1986 it was reclassified to 37/4 and renumbered 37422. The locomotive has worn several liveries and had several different operators, including EWS, DB Schenker, and DRS. It became part of the Harry Needle Railroad Company spot hire fleet based at Barrow Hill, which was taken over by Swietelsky, an Austrian-based railway construction and maintenance contractor, in January 2025. Hornby Railroad: BR Class 8 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' (Sound Fitted)

Railroad: BR Class 8 71000 'Duke of Gloucester' BR Lined Green (Sound Fitted) Built as the replacement for ‘Princess Royal’ Class 4-6-2 46202 ‘Princess Anne’, which was destroyed in the Harrow and Wealdstone rail disaster of 1952, the Riddles-designed ‘Pacific’ was intended as the first of a new batch of modern locomotives that would serve BR for many years to come.  Completed at Crewe in 1954, plans to build more were turned down by the Railway Executive because the design was too expensive and complex. As a result, ‘Duke of Gloucester’ remained unique, with its three-cylinder configuration and Caprotti rotary cam-driven valve gear. It had an operational life of just eight years, being withdrawn in 1962.  One of its cylinders was saved for display in the National Railway Museum, while the other was removed to balance the locomotive before going for scrap in South Wales. It was, however, saved in 1974 and a restoration lasting 13 years ensued, including building new cylinders from scratch. When it returned to steam it became a regular on the main line and, during 2025, returned from its latest overhaul, once again hauling steam specials to the delight of enthusiasts.  This model locomotive replica of the Class 08 'Duke of Gloucester' beautifully emulates this famous machine and is pre-fitted with HM7000 sound. - DCC HM7000 TXS Sound Fitted - OO Scale

In July 1938, it reached 126mph on Stoke Bank. Entering service in March of that year in LNER Garter blue, it had full side valances and red wheels, as depicted by our highly detailed model. BR Rebuilt Merchant Navy 35028 'Clan line' BR Lined Green (Sound/Smoke Fitted) The BR Rebuilt Merchant Navy 'Clan Line' is back in OO model form. This newly tooled model locomotive has sprung metal buffers and NEM tension lock couplings and is a highly detailed replica of a popular steam engine. One of the last of its class to be built, this locomotive was completed after nationalisation of Britain’s railways to Bulleid’s Southern ‘Merchant Navy’ design, complete with streamlined casing and chain-driven valve gear, entering service in December 1948. It didn’t receive its name until January 1951, during a ceremony at Southampton Docks. Like all 30 members of the class, ‘Clan Line’ was rebuilt, in its case, during 1959, and remained in service until withdrawal from Nine Elms, London in July 1947. It was subsequently saved privately for preservation and is a regular main line performer, once hauling the prestigious Belmond British Pullman. It received its unusual name ‘An Commun Gaidhealach’ (The Gaelic Association) at Edinburgh in October 1986, before entering the Provincial General Pool from January 1989.  It was renamed ‘Pectindae’ in April 1992, and then ‘East Lancashire Railway’ in April 1994, eventually being sold to a private owner in 2007 by EWS. The Class 08 350hp diesel electric shunter was the standard BR general-purpose shunting locomotive with 996 examples built between 1952 and 1962. With the decline in the handling of individual goods wagons and the need to assemble trains, by 2000 there were just 100 left in service, with large numbers either scrapped, exported or sold into industrial use. No.E43062 No. E43062 was built by British Rail Engineering Limited at Crewe in September 1977 and was outshopped in a BR blue and grey livery. The locomotive was first allocated to the Bounds Green (BN) depot and 43062 was initially part of the 254004 set. It was repainted in an InterCity Swallow livery after a few years in service. As British Railways prepared to be privatised, it sold its HSTs to Virgin in 1997, including 43062. The Class 43 locomotive was repainted in a Virgin red and black livery for use on CrossCountry services. Virgin handed over ten HST power cars in 2002. 43062 was given to Network Rail for use as part of the New Measurement Train (NMT). The locomotive was outshopped in a bright Network Rail yellow livery and because of this, the train was often referred to as the ‘Flying Banana’. The NMT travels at 125mph to monitor and record any faults on the track. 43062 was named ‘John Armitt’ after the chairman of the UK’s National Infrastructure Commission and had a red nameplate fitted. Loram UK won a Network Rail £8-million five-year contract to maintain the NMT in 2020. 43062 was recently overhauled at Loram Derby and returned to traffic in January 2024 with No. 43257 at the rear. No. E43063 No. E43063 was built by British Rail Engineering Limited at Crewe in September 1977 and outshopped in a BR blue and grey livery. Between 2006 and 2007, the locomotive faced an overhaul at Brush Traction and was fitted with an MTU 16V4000 R41 engine. FGW was renamed Great Western Railway in September 2015 and 43063 continued in service under the new name. Six GWR Class 43 HST power cars were stored at the Laira depot in 2020 and 43063 was among them, becoming a spares donor. - TT:120 Scale

(Will not operate on analogue) Locomotive information and history: With the nationalisation of Britain’s railways, the ‘Princess Royal’ Class Turbomotive later shed its LMS insignia, to be replaced with the new emblem of British Rail and a black livery shortly after receiving its new crest. After a long period of general repair, Turbomotive returned to the main line in 1947 under the number 46202, continuing its function as a distinct and entirely uniquely designed steam turbine locomotive. In 1949, the locomotive suffered a turbine failure and as result of post-war budgeting of the time, it was best decided to take the locomotive from service and awaiting rebuilding into a convetional design.  Following rebuilding and completion in 1952, 46202 rolled out of Crewe works loooking very different. The rebuilding included the fitting of various Princess Coronation (Duchess) class parts and became a half way between the eariler Princess Royal class and preceding Princess Coronation class. Now in BR green livery and named "Princess Anne", the locomotive wuld only see two months of service before being involved in one of the worst railway disasters ever, at Harrow and Wealdstone. It was scrapped shortly after deemed beyond the point of saving. It is because of 46202 been scrapped, that BR designed and built 8P class "Duke of Gloucester" as a replacement.
