Class 101 2-Car 'Power Twin' DMU BR Green (Speed Whiskers)
The Class 101 Diesel Multiple Units were the most numerous of all the first generation DMUs and had a long service life, remaining in use for almost half a century, and we’re delighted to present N Scale models of this iconic unit as part of the Graham Farish range.
This two-car unit depicts a ‘Power Twin’ comprising two vehicles equipped with an engine and the associated transmission and whilst all of these details are replicated faithfully on the Graham Farish model, just one of the vehicles is motorised. Each of the two cars is constructed from precision moulded bodyshells with flush glazing and a high level of raised and engraved detailing, from the ventilators and rivets found on the roof to the door furniture and window frames along each bodyside. Each chassis is adorned with all the underframe components you’d see on the prototype, including the engine, transmission, battery boxes and auxiliary gear.
Both vehicles are brought to life with an exquisite livery application, using accurate colours, fonts and logos, and the detail and decoration extends to the interior too, where seating is fitted and painted accordingly, and the cab provides crew seats along with a representation of the control desk.
The bogies are moulded with a high level of relief detail and separate footsteps are added where appropriate, meanwhile metal wheelsets are employed and electrical pickups from every wheel provide power for the directional lights at each cab end. The motorised vehicle is fitted with a powerful three pole motor with flywheel and both cars have a 6 pin DCC decoder socket; in the trailer a function decoder can be used to work the directional lights whereas the powered vehicle has a pre-fitted speaker so a sound decoder could be fitted to add sound to the model

Class 73 '73123' "Gatwick Express" BR InterCity Executive
These Locomotives were produced for the 1955 modernisation plan and were used for various jobs around the southern region including parcel and freight trains. As they could reach speeds of up to 80mph they were also used on quite a few passenger services.
The class 73 was designed so that it could run on the southern region’s 650/750v DC third rail or using its own on-board diesel engine which meant it could operate on non-electrified routes. A total number of 49 Class 73’s were built between 1962 and 1967 and most of them can still be seen running up and down the southern region, a few were painted in Network Rail Yellow and used for track testing and maintenance but most of them were preserved on railways such as the Dean Forest Railway.
Features:

Gaugemaster Limited Edition
Detailed body with etched grills and separately fitted hand rails
Darkened wheels and pin point bearings
5 Pole motor for smoother operation
6-Pin DCC Decoder Socket
All wheel drive
All Wheel pick up
Directional lighting
NEM couplings
Includes both standard and knuckle couplings
Includes spares bag with additional detailing parts

BR Class 08 08817 'Thornaby' BR Blue
Introducing the Hornby TT:120 BR Class 08 0-6-0 Diesel Shunter, running number 08817. This finely detailed model finished in striking BR Blue is a faithful representation of the locomotive as it appeared during Era 8 and features a DCC Ready 6 pin socket for seamless digital conversion.
To create an authentic Era 8 setting, pair the Class 08 with a selection of suitable rolling stock from our HAA Hoppers to reflect the locomotive’s continued use in industrial freight operations to a brake van which was frequently coupled with shunting locomotives during yard movements.
