Vehicle information and history:

The much loved Sprite epitomised the 1950s/60s era of British sports cars, each with their individual characteristics.  The Frogeye Sprite for instance came with no door handles and no exterior boot lid. You just stuffed everything behind the two seats!  However, it had a top speed of 82mph, economic fuel consumption of 43 mpg and cost just £669.

The model is based on the Mk 1 version of the real car which Dennis Healey and his team built at the Abingdon Works. The interior, including the dashboard, is finished in leather brown. Against the Cherry red colour, our Sprite sports a wealth of chrome trim to the exterior and don’t miss the red and gold Austin Healey Sprite badge on the edge of the bonnet.  And finally, the Sprite signature is printed diagonally on the nearside of the boot.
