LNER A3 Class, No. 45 'Lemberg', War time Black Livery
Named after the Racehorse which Won the 1910 Derby and 1911 Coronation Cup.
The locomotive originally built as a class A1 and numbered 2544, was one of the first to be rebuilt as an A3 class in 1927. In 1946 Lemberg was renumbered as part of the Thompson renumbering scheme and features the number 45.
Lemberg eventually joined BR upon nationalisation and received the final number 60045.
