History:

Though initially viewed as invaders, the Romans significantly impacted Britain and its lifestyle, introducing law and order, infrastructure, currency, and taxation to a land that, while not as uncivilised as portrayed, gained from increased organisation and structure.

Aside from the weather, the Romans appreciated Britain, transforming it into a smaller version of Rome. Before their departure, their network of forts shielded Britain from a series of overseas invaders.

They left behind a legacy that continues to benefit Britain today, alongside over 400 years of captivating history.
