History:
Constructed in the mid-1930s for the German Kriegsmarine, Scharnhorst was a powerful battleship equipped with nine 11-inch main guns, making her an effective commerce raider. However, she was outmatched by the more heavily armed battleships of the Royal Navy. On 26th December 1943, she was sunk by HMS Duke of York during the Battle of the North Cape, marking the end of one of the Kriegsmarine's most active vessels.
This Vintage Classic model kit allows enthusiasts to recreate this historically significant warship with precise detail. The kit highlights Scharnhorst's unique features, such as her triple turret layout and commanding superstructure, preserving the legacy of one of the Kriegsmarine's most renowned ships.
Now you can revive this iconic battleship in 1:600 scale plastic model kit form, crafting a striking piece of naval history for your collection.
